About ai.ml

ai.ml is an API gateway for large language models. A developer points an application at one address, https://api.ai.ml, and reaches hundreds of AI models from many providers through it, with one API key and one bill.

What ai.ml does

  • One endpoint for every model. Applications keep the OpenAI, Anthropic or Gemini SDK they already use and change only the base URL. ai.ml translates each request to the format of the provider that serves the chosen model.
  • Routing and failover. Each request is sent to the best available host for the model, by price, speed or location, and moved to another host if one fails.
  • Usage and budgets. Every request is metered to the token. Teams set budgets and limits per key and per project and see their usage and cost in the console.
  • Prepaid billing. Customers add credit in advance and requests are charged against it. A tax invoice is issued for every payment.
  • Data controls. An organisation chooses which providers and regions may process its requests and whether prompts are stored at all.

Who it is for

Software developers and companies that build products on AI models and want one integration, predictable costs and no dependence on a single provider. ai.ml is a business service; it is not a consumer chat application.

Accounts, sign-in and the data we ask for

To use ai.ml you need an account. You can create one with an e-mail address and a password, or by signing in with Google.

When you sign in with Google, ai.ml asks Google for your basic profile only: your name, your e-mail address and your profile picture. We request this for one purpose: to create your ai.ml account and to recognise you when you sign in again. Your e-mail address identifies your account and is where we send service messages such as receipts and security notices; your name is shown in the console and to the other members of your organisation. We do not access your Gmail, contacts, calendar, Drive or any other Google data, we do not sell this information, and we do not use it for advertising or to train AI models.
